#loveforlittleliam – Tough Mudder

DLR Employees Rob Sansom and Tom Colton will be running the TOUGH MUDDER full course on Sunday 20th to raise awareness and help aid #loveforlittleliam.

Liam, he is just 5 years old and at the start of May 2018 we had the devastating news that he has an incurable and inoperable brain tumour giving Liam up to a year to live. his cancerous brain tumour is called Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma(DIPG). Just one child a year would develop this terrible disease at the Queens Medical Centre Nottingham. There is currently no cure. DIPG grows in the area of the brain that controls sleep, respiration, swallowing, bladder control, hearing, taste, eye movement, facial expressions, facial sensation, and posture. Growing in this area makes surgery to remove the cancerous tumour impossible. However tests and trials are being carried out in a handful of places around the world to work towards a cure, or extend the length of the prognosis past a year. This cancer usually only affects children under the age of 10.

Please follow the link: #loveforlittleliam to see how you can help fund Liam with his fight against DIPG.

Good luck with full course boys, we are sure your up to it!
